Bereavement Support

Bereavement Support

Losing a loved one can be extremely painful and affects the caregivers and the family.

Bereavement is described as the period of grief after the death of a loved one. Grief affects a person’s mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve, nor is there a normal timetable to grieve. Various factors determine the period of bereavement and how a person copes with their loss.

Frontier Hospice is dedicated to providing support and education services to the entire family and community.

These follow up services may include:

Periodic contact for one year following the loss of a loved one

Individual counseling

Educational workshops

Support groups

Home visits and telephone conversations with our families

The goal of bereavement services is to provide the family with support in coping with their loss.
